About the Ellensburg Food Co-op

Founded

Oct 2009

Location

Ellensburg, WA, 98926

About

Formed in Oct 2009 for creation of a community-designed, member-owned food cooperative in Ellensburg. The creation of this group was inspired by a critical mass of conversations with community members who are passionate about organizing a food co-op for Ellensburg. We hope everyone will contribute to this process, whether by expressing ideas and opinions, asking questions, sharing resources and information, or volunteering!

Description

Our goal is to open a member-owned, not for profit storefront that provides locally, sustainably and fairly produced, organic as possible foods, including veggies, fruit, meat, poultry, dairy, cheese, eggs, etc.

Meetings

Come join us for meetings as we grow. We meet the 2nd Monday of each month at Brick Road Books, 305 N. Main Street in Ellensburg, WA at 6:00 PM

Memberships

We are fully incorporated with the State of WA, are now accepting memberships, and have begun our initial capital funds drive to fund the opening of our storefront!

  • Membership fee: $100
  • This is a one-time, lifetime fee. Payments may be made over time.

Membership Benefits include voting rights for named member, covers all family/household members, and provides patronage dividends when available. The membership fee is fully refundable upon written request. Possible shopping discounts will be developed once storefront is up and running. While consumers do not have to be a member-owner to shop at the Co-op, membership fees provide the equity to fund the Co-op.
